Everything I've Been Waiting For, Wonderful Husband, and Caramel Apples

Yesterday marks a special day in my life. I have to say that I have many special days but tomorrow is now one of them. We have been waiting on our USCIS approval. It is the final piece of our dossier that we need. Yesterday at 2:30 PM, it arrived in our mailbox. Knowing how important this was to me, my sweet husband made a copy, attached it to the true copy statement, got it signed and notarized, drove a little over an hour to the Secretary of State to get it sealed and then got it off to the courier in Chicago to take it to the Chinese Consulate. Our agency has the rest of our dossier and now, by the end of next week, they will have the final piece. Hold on Aneyah, Mommy and Daddy are one step closer!
While Larry, with Katy as his passenger, is rushing to the Secretary of State, Mya, Maylin and I arrived home from work and school. The first thing I noticed was the fact that my house was clean! I called Larry and said, "You cleaned the house!" I could tell he was smiling and said he was the guilty party. This means THE WORLD to me! I run the girls constantly with three playing soccer, piano lessons and Chinese School so he thought I needed a break! Wow, do I feel blessed! All in one day I get my long awaited USCIS approval and a clean house that I did not do!
Since my house was clean, I could take time this morning before soccer to make caramel apples with the girls. Here are pictures of them with their apples! Mya and Maylin had 10:30 play times and Ivy had 11:45. It was in the 50's, very windy, and rainy. I must admit it was one of my hardest days to be out there. The wind kept whipping down my neck, the rain kept pelting my face even with the umbrella and I was just plum cold. Tolerating this from 10:30 to 12:45 was a bit of a challenge. However, the girls played great, wet and slipping all over the fields. Maylin made a goal and Mya 4 times kicked it in, but the goalie stopped it before it was a goal. Maybe next time Mya! Ivy is getting the hang of the whole sport and since she is my girly-girl, it is amazing she tolerated the rain, cold, and running for an hour! Katy is a great little cheerleader and a trooper because she sits the whole time on the sidelines with Mom. Since Daddy works on Saturday, Katy and I fill him in on the details!
Check back tomorrow for pumpkin farm photos!
