What A Friday Night!

Last night we traveled 50 minutes to our friend's house for her daughter's 1st birthday party. She just arrived home from China last Saturday. Larry was still at work so it was just the girls and I. We knew snow was coming into our area but it was only doing flurries when we left our area. We arrived at our friends around 5:30. We stayed until 7:30 when I decided it was best to leave. I must mention we had a blast and her daughter is priceless. I will share one picture since my girls are in it!!! It was not snowing there at all. We got 20 minutes down the road and it was solid ice. One of the towns we go around on the expressway is very curvy. I was coming around one bend and saw a car coming on the expressway ahead of me. All of a sudden, it began going around in circles. I was trying so slow down but just sliding myself plus trying to anticipate if I could get around him without plowing us into a ditch or a break wall. Just as I was bracing to possibly hit him and praying "Oh Lord, please help me" he spun off the road and we just went by. Immediately upon getting by him on the shoulder of my side was a car facing me and then just beyond that was a car that had apparently tried to miss that car and spun in the ditch on the other side. It was so hairy there for a bit. We could only go 30 miles an hour. We went down a bit and found another car in the ditch. They were just every where. It took us one hour and thirty five minutes to do a trip that is normally 50 minutes. Upon getting home, We thanked the Lord for his hand guiding our car home safely!!
