Missionary Sunday With Parade of Flags and Skype

Whew, What an exciting day we have had! The girls and I had to be at church by 8:25 to get in the line up to carry our flag into the auditorium for the Parade of Flags for Missionary Conference Sunday. Can any of you guess what flag I would be carrying? I am sure many of you can guess. It is the flag of China! The Parade began with the flags of Russia and Mongolia and then the girls and I followed with China. As the music was playing and I stepped up waiting to go with the girls lined up behind me, I almost became overwhelmed with emotion. China.....I have a huge love for the people, the culture and most of all the precious orphans of China and I was carrying the flag of their country with China's precious gifts following me. I took a deep swallow, bit my lip to suppress the tears and began walking down the aisle carrying the flag with probably a couple hundred people watching. We walked down to the platform, across the front to the left and then up the stairs where I placed the flag in the holder. We did this for the 9:00 and 10:30 services and it was just the best!! The girls did a great job of following me and I could not have been a prouder Mama!
This afternoon in preparation for my upcoming trip we purchased webcams. This way when I am in China getting Aneyah, we can call video to home and they can see us and Aneyah and I can see Daddy and her sisters. We installed it and it worked!! We were Skyping each other and it was the coolest thing. One more thing off of my list! When I return home, we will send one cam to Grandpa and Grandma so they can Skype with their granddaughters. This weekend I as well purchased most of my supplies to go to China with so I am pretty well set there too! Now bring on that TA so I can go. My dear friend Ann is going with me and Brusselsprout is staying home with the four Chinasprouts to keep them in their regular routine!
