You decide, just don't tell me (just joking)! This morning was the Christmas Program at Church. For Katy, who is four, they have been practicing two songs over the last couple of weeks. She was very excited to perform. For the older three girls, they were introduced to two songs last week and then sent home with a CD to listen to and learn the songs over the week for the program. Now, I am a little bit of an old school Mom. When I grew up, you practiced for weeks before the program and it was the biggest thing happening at church. The children and their teachers put time, effort and love into this program. The three older girls did not want to do the program. Coming from the Christian School they attend, there is order to everything. With the Church program being so laid back or what have you, I think they felt a little insecure about going up front. Their Dad and I talked about it and we decided they did not have to perform. When it came time for their group to go down and sing, I must say it was so unorganized. The kids had never performed in the sanctuary so the kids were every where. Some were up on stage, some where down and it took several minutes to get everyone organized before the performance could begin. I certainly was not patting myself on the back but let's just say, I felt comfortable with the decision that our girls did not have to perform. Here are pictures of Katy! She did a fantastic job!! She sang well, did actions and looked at the crowd. We were very proud of her!
