Casting Crowns

Wow, where to begin with this unbelievable evening!  Let's start with dinner.  Mya, Maylin, Ivy and I left to have dinner out right after Brusselsprout arrived home from work and could be with Katy and The Littles.  It was so much fun to be able to spend time with my older girls.  I love to spend time with ALL my girls but from time to time, it is nice to be with the older three separate from the younger three.  Dinner was nice without any spilled milk, having to use the bathroom and NOT having to get up a million times.  I don't get to experience this much so it was nice to enjoy this dinner!

After dinner, we headed to the Center for the concert.  There was a lot of excitement in my car from three young ladies.  It was their FIRST concert!  We found a nice parking spot, got in and found our seats without any difficulty.  We did sit in pretty good seats if I say so myself!

The concert started with an unknown female singer that was just getting her start.  She was very good and we enjoyed her songs of which she sang three.  After her performance within sixty seconds, Royal Tailor took the stage.  This group sang 3 songs and was very good.  Of course all of this music was Christian.  The lead singer for Royal Tailor had every decent move that Michael Jackson did.  He moon walked the stage, did flips and tons of fancy footwork.  It was very entertaining.  When Royal Tailor ended it was sixty seconds and onto the stage came Matthew West.  He was AWESOME!!  I love all of his songs and he was filled with inspirational messages, great music and humor.  He did his songs which maybe lasted a half an hour and then onto....Casting Crowns.

Casting Crowns hit the stage with the song Courageous and every one was on their feet and stayed on them for the first three to four songs.  They played for a bit and then took a 20 minute intermission.  After the intermission, they came back and did some acoustic playing and singing.  I was excited when the lead singer said, "He was inspired for this song as he sat in the emergency room with his third daughter adopted from China and probably not his last!"  I knew I liked this group but that clinched it for me as I smiled from ear to ear and looked at my girls!

Casting Crowns ended back with the full band playing several songs.  It was amazing to see an auditorium filled with raised hands and worshiping God.  It was like God was so close you could touch him!  The feeling was amazing and sooo uplifting.

The concert started at 7:00 PM and I looked at my watch when we came out of the center to walk to the car and it was 10:45 PM.  Time sure flies when you are worshiping such an awesome God!

Would I recommend this concert???  In a heartbeat!!!
